The Network Marketing Industry is changing. That’s no surprise to anyone with a MLM business. The Old School way simply does not work today. Only the 3%-5% Heavy Hitters are financially successful. The part time Distributor rarely earns enough commission to cover their
Anyone can boss people around…but not everyone will be a great boss. If we can focus on the qualities that separate an ordinary boss from a really great boss and then apply them to our parenting strategies, we will raise great kids.

The economic times we are in are touching people’s lives in a challenging fashion. I recently ate dinner with a Harvard Law graduate who felt lucky have landed a less than ideal job. In my personal circle of millionaire friends, six of them have already declared bankruptcy, and others I know are just hanging on by the skin of their teeth. I, myself, am having my own financial issues and am having to bust my butt to maintain cash flow. It’s easy to get down when bad news comes your way, but to cr… Continue

This is an email I recently received from Troy Olds, a business partner of mine. In these economic times I think it is critical to remember why we celebrate Christmas and to not fall into the trap of “consumerism” as it’s overall defining “time suck” during this holiday season. Remember, the people we care about spell love T-I-M-E. I hope you enjoy this transparent fathers look at his role on this planet during Christmas. Troy is an example to us who continue to strive to be Family First Entrepr… Continue

I thought about titles and, because of the past year, I have been thinking about Thanksgiving a lot! In fact, I have been in a constant state of thanksgiving for much of the past year, and particularly over the past few months. In a lot of ways, I think Thanksgiving is a lot like Christmas, it is a mindset we should have on a continuous basis...and not simply isolate it to a singular expression of thanks, joy, and giving.
In any case, because it is a holiday and because I am so thankful to even… Continue
My wife and I had a spirited discussion (code for, almost an argument) last night on the topic of competition as it relates to the human condition and parenting. The defensiveness, and resulting venom we directed at one another, came from our differing opinions on the subject and how we wanted to approach the parenting of our sons. My wife’s take, is that competition, in general, is a bad thing that brings about an overall negative. I disagree, and respectfully allow her the space to have her op… Continue
When my kids were younger I was very careful about the kind of food they ate and how often they could eat it. They had very little processed stuff and rarely ate white sugar. When Halloween came around however, all of that changed.
In the beginning I wanted to control the candy intake and restricted the amount they could have. This was quite a job and I quickly realized it wasn't worth the effort. I decided to do something different and set up a deal.
The deal was that when they came home with… Continue

Relationships are built by the little things we do, making these little things very important. Being aware of the kinds of things that strengthen or weaken our relationships, helps us build something strong enough to weather any storm.
Five things to be aware of when building relationship:
1) Overdoing the teasing/jokes. Taking little shots at one another can be fun and affirming in a relationship. Knowing a person well enough to joke with him about little details in his life creates an intima… Continue
Over the next few months, I will be going through ONO, from beginning to end, and will be digging in a little deeper to the content. There is so much more to say than the words that are written in the book. I hope you gain incite and knowledge from this series of video clips.
THIS made me look bad. But I'm not dumb enough to fix it myself!
If you have taken the trouble to read a blog about graphic design and how you can look your best online and in print, you probably don’t need advice on how to look bad. That would be the furthest thing from your mind. But some people just need all the help and advice they can get.
In case you ar… Continue

Why is it that business seems to be a foreign land? They talk funny, they dress different and they use money in really weird ways. And before you go out there, you need to visit the library to learn everything you can about the people. It seems that everything you were raised with is wrong and now the natives of this strange land are going to point at you and laugh if you step… Continue
I’m not quite sure how it happened, but all of a sudden (or so it seemed) Facebook was the word on everyone’s lips. Whether it’s number of friends, a frustating comment someone else made on their wall, the finding of a long lost ‘friend’ or the questionable picture recently posted, Facebook is the name at the cornerstone of many conversations.
Even businesses jumped o… Continue

By popular demand, I am extending the list of bad web habits (see STOPITSTOPITSTOPIT). It appears that there are more annoyances that webdesigners are perpetuating and using to litter our lovely internet. Most of these were tiresome ten years ago. So if you have a website with any of these features, either delete them right now or call your web guru to have them removed. Serious… Continue

Your business needs a website. Your website needs images – or at least content. Short of hiring a photographer, some models and scouting out a location, where do you find images of, say, people working in an office? Or a photograph that illustrates a sector of your business?
Since you don’t want to be stealing any images or content, the most obvious place to get images and ot… Continue
